Markus (Sir Perceval)

Marcus, also known as Sir Percival, is 25 years old and lives near Stuttgart, Germany. He is an iconographer and works as a researcher in museums, as well as having a passion for history, especially ancient Rome, Greece and the Middle Ages. This passion also seeps into his hobby of developing history-themed MOC (My Own Creation) models.

Marcus was influenced by Lego castle models from an early age and developed a keen interest in making large scale miniature models. He realised that there were hardly any medieval models on the market that met his needs and started to build his own castles and historical scenes by hand. Through meticulous planning and actual construction, he created a series of large, medieval-themed models.

During the design process, Marcus began by designing layouts with paper and pen, and then used digital technology to plan them in detail. Ultimately, he spent about six months planning, plus a year actually building. He pays particular attention to capturing the emotion and realism of his models and draws inspiration from real castles and buildings. His MOC series includes a number of finely detailed buildings and scenes that reflect his obsessive attention to detail.

Marcus is currently working on a special project - the reconstruction of Hohengeroldseck Castle. It is a place he used to visit in his childhood and has great personal significance. He plans to rebuild the castle to true scale and expand it into a modular set for enthusiasts to choose from and purchase.

In addition to MOC making, Marcus maintains his personal Instagram page and YouTube channel to showcase his models and creative process. He has little time for other hobbies, but his passion for modelling and attention to detail is always present.
