Luca, 25 years old, lives in Erfurt, central Germany, with his girlfriend and three cats. After completing his engineering degree, Luca entered the automotive industry. In his spare time he devotes himself to MOC (My Own Creation) modelling, a way for him to explore his creativity and realise his dreams.

Luca has been interested in block modelling since the age of 7, initially disassembling and reassembling technological models. As he got older, he started using digital design programmes and, after earning his first money, buying parts to realise his designs. Luca's MOC designs not only had a profound impact on his personal engineering interests, but also helped him to improve his three-dimensional thinking skills.

He was particularly interested in the design of architectural replicas, which he began exploring in early 2023. Starting with a model of a railway station in his home town, Luca found the challenge of recreating real buildings very interesting. Using Google Earth and Google Maps to obtain a 3D model of the building, he designed each model digitally in order to create it without the constraints of existing components. Luca focuses on the proportions and details of the building when designing, keeping it as accurate as possible while keeping cost control in mind.

To date, Luca has completed some 40 architectural replicas, of which he is most proud, including models of the cathedral and the Federal Chancellery in his hometown of Erfurt. Designing these detailed and complex models requires an understanding of the geometry of the parts, the direction in which they are built, and the choice of colours. He maintains patience and creativity through many iterations to achieve the final result.

In the future, Luca plans to continue designing models of small-scale buildings and urban areas, and he hopes to collaborate with more designers and welcomes recommendations of buildings worth seeing. He also thoroughly enjoys hiking, which not only relaxes him, but also provides inspiration for his next MOC design.

Luca thanks each and every one of his fans for supporting him, he enjoys listening to feedback to constantly improve his work and looks forward to bringing more interesting designs. He encourages everyone to continue to follow his work and suggest interesting buildings to him so he can create more enjoyable models.
